Hi guys! I didn't catch the discussion from the beginning so please enlighten me. From what I understood there is a possibility of a merger with another guild. Which guild? If they are as strong as we are, I'm in favor. I believe we should keep the most active and strong members, as well as those who donate most. I'll be waiting for more information, but this sounds like a great idea at the right moment...

Warriors
Was a lvl70-80 guild currently sitting at rank 196.
They whittled members down to participaters and donaters and want to merge with us.
At most 25 incoming, best case for them.
For us this means letting go of old members who dont do much anymore, people who don't attack in GC or just get 0 points in GC, and non donaters.
It won't be fun for me ... choosing who goes will suck, so I propose letting them in in smaller waves and seeing how things go. You never know, we might have to boot some of them and wish we had some originals back.

Belboz just informed me that we are talking about "Warriors". For sure they are not as strong as we are. So, for me it is not fair to have a 50% and 50% merger. It would be more fair to have a merged guild with something like 70% our members and 30% theirs. Waiting for other opinions...

As for our guild strength I think we were ranked around 96 in battle royale last week which I believe tells a little more about our 30 members than trophy rank.
Although I know merging won't solve all problems I believe it will end all talk about participation and donating.
It was pretty clear to us that donating to the guild and guild clash was the most important part of the guild. I will use an example of 1 of our weaker members.
Tony the pony can score about 200-500 points in guild clash. His donations are always over 1000 jewels. @ 0 donations I can easily score 3000 points, @ full donations I am over 5000.
His contributions help the entire guild score more even though he scores very little.

I need at the very least 20 members. I have put them through a lot and I believe the younger 1s have a lot of potential.
You guys were our first choice I don't mean to cause any problems within your guild and I understand that this is a very complicated request.

What you're saying regarding donations and scores is almost right. I'm saying almost because if you join us you'll face much harder opponents and your scores will drop. Only 15 of your members have above 3000 trophies while we have 33. From what you said I understood that you have way better donors than we have though... I'm in favor of the merger but how can we be sure that you will not change your mind after we kick so many members? Also, I don't think that we can empty more than 20 spaces and even this is a big number. This is just my opinion though. Belboz, our leader, had really hard time finding the first 12 to kick. This is an open discussion and all opinions are welcome.

I'm not disagreeing with you but we have faced your guild and higher ranked guilds in guild clash. we seem to have bad luck in matchups.
From my experience the guild who donates the most has the biggest advantage. And if donations are maxed out it's the guild who maxed out their donations first.
My guild and myself believe trophies have no value other than for recruitment purposes. Unless your in the top 3 guilds of course.
It was very hard for me and other members of my guild to cut down to the "core" of our guild but we did it with the intention of becoming a closer, better guild.
With no worries about recruiting, donations and participation we have more time to discuss strategies and have fun messing around with each other.
In the end we are still looking to advance our guild. We have a lot of respect for you guys and also feel like it would make a more enjoyable guild. It would be a huge regret of mine if I didn't ask you guys first. The other guilds we are looking at the offer would be for them to join us.
The last thing I want to do is make a mess of your guild. Please don't take any action unless everything is agreed upon within your guild. We do not expect an answer right away so please take your time.

To be a little more clear about the donations, even though we have weaker members, the high donations shift the damage potential from them to the heavy hitters. The downside is that it puts the importance of the heavy hitters doing a good job at a higher level. Things like losing connection or screwing up 1 of your chances is a little more devastating.

As i said in the game, merge or not, we have to make rules to colaborate and follow them EVERYBODY, it,s the only way to improve (except if you are rich, of course)

I think Paul made his points clear! And I have to say he seems like a nice guy that put a lot of thought in this. So now it's up to us. I'll express my opinion and I hope others do also. I'm in favor of a merger with 30 members of our guild and 20 members of warriors guild. The members of our guild have to be picked based on contribution, participation & lastly trophies. Belboz's list as well as the GC participation lists make it easy I think. That's it for now...
